Kaptumo/Kaboi Ward MCA Josphat Tarbei has declared his intentions to vie for Nandi Senator in the August General elections.

Speaking in Kapsoo on Friday, Tarbei said his move to seek the Senate was pushed by his legislative performance at the county assembly.

“I have had enough experience pushing various legislative pieces at the county assembly and this is what has pushed me to join the Senate race. I believe I can deliver as a Senator as I have done as MCA,” he said.

The MCA said he will be launching his campaigns soon and that he will be seeking to vie for the seat under the Jubilee party.

The Ward Rep joins the growing list of aspirants seeking the Senate seat in the county.

Those who have already declared interest in the seat include; Lawyer Kiprotich Cherargei, KNUT National Trustee Boniface Tenai, Stella Rutto among others.

The seat is currently held by Advocate Stephen Sang, who has since set his eyes on the County Governor’s seat.
