Following the attainment of 100% electricity access in Gatundu South, dairy farmers have been rushing to take advantage of the power to improve their productivity by acquiring shaft cutters to process fodder.
Demand for the cutters has gone up astronomically. Herein lies an opportunity for our youth. I have requested the Kenya Industrial Research & Development Institute (KIRDI) to help our youth assemble the cutters locally and at cheaper costs.
They have gracefully accepted to do so and train the youth groups. Through Uwezo Fund, we will advance collateral free, interest free loans to youth groups interested in taking up this opportunity . Interested groups can contact James Kimani Nage on +254721413547
